Savinho’s possible transfer to Tottenham has become an interesting development in the football transfer scene. The Brazilian winger has attracted attention with his pace, creativity and ability to create chances in the final third. Tottenham could see him as an exciting option to add more attacking energy to their squad. The move would also give Savinho a fresh opportunity to take his career forward in the Premier League. Here is a closer look at the latest situation surrounding the potential deal. Explore the latest details surrounding Savinho’s potential move to Tottenham.

Savinho Transfer News and Latest Developments

Savinho has completed his move from Manchester City to Tottenham for an initial £75m, with another £10m potentially due through add-ons. The 22-year-old Brazilian winger has signed a long-term contract and will wear the number 17 shirt. He has also returned to using the name Savio after previously being known as Savinho at City.

The transfer gives Tottenham another exciting attacking option with energy, creativity, dribbling and quality in wide areas. Savio impressed during his previous Premier League campaign with his ability to create chances, carry the ball forward and take on defenders, while his performances at Girona also highlighted his attacking potential.

Tottenham’s Interest in Savinho

Tottenham’s interest in Savinho developed into a completed transfer after the club agreed a deal with Manchester City for the Brazilian winger. Spurs agreed to pay an initial £75m, with the overall package potentially reaching £85m through add-ons. The move also gives Savio a fresh opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League and play a bigger role in attack.

The 22-year-old is known for his energy, creativity, dribbling and quality in wide positions, while his ability in one-on-one situations can add another attacking dimension for Tottenham. From an expert football perspective, the move is particularly interesting because Roberto De Zerbi can use Savio on either wing and encourage him to create chances, attack defenders and become more productive in front of goal.

Savinho’s Role in Tottenham’s Attack

Although his Manchester City numbers were modest, his earlier La Liga campaign showed his ability to beat defenders, progress with the ball and create opportunities from wide areas, including nine goals and eight assists.

1. Provides Width on the Flanks – Savinho can stretch the opposition by staying wide and creating space for Tottenham’s central attackers.

2. Creates Chances Through Dribbling – His ability to take on defenders one-on-one can help Tottenham break through tight defensive lines
3. Cuts Inside to Threaten Goal – From the right side, he can move inside onto his stronger left foot and create shooting or passing opportunities.

4. Adds Creativity in the Final Third – His passing, movement and ability to create chances give Tottenham another attacking outlet.

5. Supports Fast Attacking Transitions – Savinho’s pace and ability to carry the ball forward can make Tottenham more dangerous when quickly moving from defence into attack.

His versatility could be valuable for Roberto De Zerbi, as he can operate from the left wing, right wing or move into central areas when needed. From my football analysis experience, his strongest qualities are his one-against-one ability and acceleration, which can help Tottenham stretch compact defences and open space for teammates, while his crossing and movement can provide more service for the central forwards.

The Transfer Fee and Contract Details

Tottenham agreed an initial £75m transfer fee for Savinho, with another £10m available through add-ons, taking the potential deal value to £85m. The 22-year-old winger has signed a long-term contract, giving Spurs a significant attacking investment as they build their squad around Premier League ambitions.

The structure shows how modern football contracts can include a guaranteed fee alongside performance-related payments. In this case, the transfer gives Manchester City a substantial return while allowing Tottenham to spread part of the overall cost through agreed bonuses, depending on the terms of the deal.

Savinho’s Career Before the Tottenham Move

Savinho built his reputation before joining Tottenham through impressive spells with Girona and Manchester City. His breakthrough came during his time at Girona, where his pace, dribbling, ball carrying and chance creation made him a dangerous winger and helped him earn recognition at the highest level.

His move to Manchester City followed in 2024, where he continued developing in the Premier League despite limited playing time. From his career progression, his strongest qualities have consistently been his ability to attack defenders, create space and contribute from wide areas, which now gives Tottenham a player with valuable top-level experience.

Tottenham Squad Changes After Savinho’s Arrival

With Savinho now part of the Tottenham squad, the biggest change is the extra attacking variety he brings to the team. His pace, direct dribbling and ability to play on both wings give Roberto De Zerbi another option when Spurs need to stretch defenders or create space in the final third.

1. More attacking pace: Savinho gives Tottenham another quick and direct option on the wing, helping the team attack faster and create more chances.

2. Stronger right-wing competition: His arrival creates more competition with players such as Mikey Moore and Mohammed Kudus for a place on the right side.

3. Deeper attacking options: Tottenham now have more quality and variety in the forward areas, giving Roberto De Zerbi more choices when changing his lineup.

4. More creativity from wide areas: Savinho’s dribbling and one-on-one ability can give Spurs another way to break through defensive teams.

5. A major squad rebuild: Savinho is part of Tottenham’s wider summer rebuild, alongside major additions such as Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Andy Robertson and other new arrivals.

The Brazilian’s arrival also increases competition in the wide positions and adds another player capable of making a difference in one-on-one situations. Looking at the squad from a tactical perspective, Savinho can offer a more direct attacking route while combining with teammates and creating chances from wider areas.

Conclusion

Savinho’s move to Tottenham gives the club another exciting attacking option with pace, creativity and strong one-on-one ability. His experience with Girona and Manchester City has helped him develop into a versatile winger who can play on either side and create chances in the final third. The £75m initial fee, with up to £85m including add-ons, shows how highly Spurs value his potential. Under Roberto De Zerbi, Savinho could have a bigger role and more freedom to use his dribbling and attacking skills. His arrival also strengthens competition within the squad and adds another dimension to Tottenham’s attacking approach.
